What was the target insect for the spraying?
A light infestation of a twospotted Spider
Mite can cause symptoms that may appear
very similar to mesophyll collapse. We
can still see areas of yellowing, regardless
of whether we see the advanced browning
or not caused by the insect.

I found some insects that at first appreared to be assassin bugs clustered around the blooms. But on close inspection and looking them up on the internet they were actually something called 'clouded plant bugs'. They are reported to feed on the blooms. So I sprayed them.
