I took the plants inside yesterday. That light room is really becoming too small! Rolling Eyes And then not even all plants are visible here...

It looks like it wasn't such a good idea to start with chili peppers in July! They take up a lot of space... Laughing

Do they all get sufficient daylight in there, or do you have to rely on artificial? What is the bright room temperature during the winter?
You keep everything neat and tidy! Smile

The citruses will certainly survive it, it's now the 3rd year I'm putting them there for the winter months. I don't know if the chilli peppers will survive but it is not a problem if they don't.

The light room isn't heated. Daytime temperatures can vary between 10°C (50F) and 20°C (68F) depending on the weather.

My flying dragon is beautifully colored right now! Very Happy
Unfortunately there wasn't any sun, it would have made the colors look even better...

Unfortunately this beauty doesn't last long. The leaves are nearly all gone by now...

This weekend I found some small but beautiful meyer lemon plants at a local garden center. I could not resist taking one home! Embarassed Laughing At €8.99 they were quite cheap!

Some pictures of the plant:

They had plants available loaded with fruits and flower buds. My plant only has one fruit on it and 2 or 3 flower buds, but the plant itself looked better, which is why I chose this one.

Congratulations !

I know that company.
It is a EU project in Portugal.
The rootstocks as well the scions are breeded in a high pure area, where no human being may enter by robots from absolute pest free cell cultures.
It is run by the scientists of a specialized university and the aim is to build up a new level of citrus industry in Portugal.

The rootstock is always Flying Dragon.

Nice plant. Meyer is one of the easiest citrus to root.

I don't know about that rootstock... The eustis limequat I bought earlier this year came from the same source. At some point a shoot appeared at the rootstock which clearly wasn't flying dragon or anything trifoliate. Squeezing the leaves from that shoot resulted in a strong lemony scent. The leaves weren't eustis limequat for sure; those don't produce any lemon scent...

Repost of the eustis picture:

I do it all the time, it's an alternative way to squeeze the juice out! Laughing

Actually, that was a box of grass seeds! Wink
