I'm not greatly impressed by this one. Seedless fruit about the size of a golf ball. This is my first year for fruit after 3 years in the ground. I also grew the rootstock and grafted it.

The first time I ate one was last summer's fruit tasting trip at Gene Lester's nursery. It is now my favorite citrus fruit.
Once riped you won't be able to stop eating them. They are so sweet and juicy although they are in the smaller variety. Other people congregate to that tree to taste and eat. A lot stayed on that tree including me.
One day I was lucky enough to get one at Home Depot and I am going to T-bud them and let it multiply in my yard.
On second thought clemenule from Spain is also my favorite side by side with kishu mandarin.

I hope the same is true for SE Texas. We shall see. There is an internet posting by someone at the UC Riverside citrus collection bragging about them like you are. That is why I grafted some. I'll have to wait several more years to make a good conclusion about the taste! I don't think I ever sold one of the trees I grafted as no one here knows what they are. John Panzarella of Lake Jackson, a locally noted citrus collecter, was kind enough to buy about 10 trees from me for re-sale. I haven't heard whether he finally did sell them!

Seedless Kishu is a great tasting fruit. You will like them. Because it is a mandarin it will get better as your tree ages. -Millet
