A bit off-topic but you got me thinking - are all those variegated plants result of a plain chance or do we have something better at our disposal ?
For example: If non-variegated scion is grafted onto variegated rootstock does that increases chance for obtaining variegated scion growth later ?
Or anything else increasing chance...?
I've something what I'd like to see in variegated version. _________________

Hahaha .. a bit too heavy ..
But black beer was invented in my country like 800 years ago.
My favourite brewery exists since 1206 ...
175 years ago then the blonde beer was invented in my country:
SKOL Worldwide Lager, that still is brewed here.
Vienna Type and LAGER are still the name of the brewed beers all over the world ...
So if you every taste a beer from here, then you want no other any more ... |

No offending, but REAL good beers are only from Austria, Bavaria (south germany) and Czech Republic ...
Only that have the 800 years tradition ... |

...but the real SPECIAL beers are from Belgium I think!
I have drunk German beers too. Weihenstephan comes to mind, which is a great beer also, Bavarian and the oldest existing beer in the world I believe. I don't have any experience with Austrian beers and beers from other countries. But I have learned to stay away from Heineken! _________________ - Marc

Heiniken is industry stuff ...
You must know that beer was invented by monks.
In the area of Austria, Bavaria and Czech 800 years ago when the monks had the duty to give food to the poor.
Traditionally they gave old bread and soup, but then though about how to produce something more effiency that gets not hard like bread and not must be cooked like soup.
So they invented beer.
Later when they found out, that people often started to fight when being drunk from beer. the added hops (humulus) to calm them down, for hops is a natural tranquilizer.
Hops still grows wild all about in Vienna, it also makes that bitter -spicy taste of beer.
like 2ßß years ago the Parliement in Bavaria made a law that only Water, Hops and Malt is allowed to produce beer.
That law soon was taken over by Austria and Czech (part of Austria at this time.
All other countries did not, which is also a reason of the higher quality here.
Then we have perfect pure water from out Mountains dwells.
In some areas like Netherlands, the same water has already been drunken already from 6 other persons before ... |
