Assuming your 'ichanges' means C.ichangensis - then I think your plant or photo is incorrect. I can see no sign of the 'figure of eight' leaves of this species, where the petiole and leaf are about the same size.
The Het Loo collection is fantastic, one of the 'citrus visits' I most enjoyed. Amazing that it survived WW2! If I had room to grow any more varieties I would be asking for budwood.

That does look like a Pummelo. Pummelos have large petioles too but not nearly as large as c. ichangensis. _________________ Jim

That photo looks like ichangensis. The first photo doesn't look like Pomelo either. Pomelo has very large / wide leaves with a large petiole.
Hirado Butan pomelo before I top worked it to Cocktail grapefruit...

That looks really good! I think I see a few flecks of red in there I have never tasted Torocco, luckily both of my trees are holding about 10 fruit each this year, So I am hoping I get to try one soon. I hear its one of the best tasting citrus. what do you think? |
