Patty I wish I could send the next storm that way just to thin the trees-- but you really don't want all the stuff that goes with it-- weeks without power, houses with no roofs, people without houses, missing bridges and roads. We were fortunate that all the trees that went down in my yard missed the houses (ours and neighbors).

Mepps is probably the company you are talking about that buys squirrel tails-- I collect them and use them for fly tying and donate them to my fly fishing club auction.

The problem with eating squirrels is they are tough to clean, but they are great if you get a young tender one--put a link sausage inside, wrap it in foil and put it on the grill.

Skeet, I didn't see your post! No, I really don't want a hurc here, we have tornados to rip houses apart.
I never cleaned a squirrel (yuk) & I imagine it is hard with all the small bones - like rabbit. I once ordered rabbit (just to try) in restaurant (yrs back) & I was spitting out BB's!! Not kidding! I complained but nothing happened. Now, they would close the restaurant down. I will not eat rabbit or squirrel anymore. They make good fertilizer Laughing

Hey down here in the south there are quite a few people who will eat them. My theory is if you can't buy it at the store don't eat it !
