Hi , I just bought a calamondin grafted on a Meyer improved as rootstock . The seller said that grafting upon meyer provides a much bushier tree and keeps it dwarf.

But this is not my "problem" Smile

A few days ago meyer started to send new leaves under the grafting point and I was wondering if it possible to let one branch to go into Meyer and from the graft and up to be a calamondin. But also by doing this does not affect the grafting ? . Meaning that the meyer will not feed anymore the calamondin and feeds only his own kind.

Thanks

That should work. It may start to outgrow the calamondin, but if it does you can always cut it back.
