Intrigued by a comment pagnr made in my grapefruit thread saying something like the duncan grapefruit was the mother of all other grapefruit varieties. I was wondering if we could compile a list of mother varieties or historical varieties for reference.

"The origin of the Duncan can be traced back directly to the first grapefruit introduced to Florida. The original Duncan tree was planted around 1830 near Safety Harbor, Florida, but it was not until 1892 that it was named and propagated by A.L. Duncan of Dunedin. All other grapefruit varieties have arisen from the Duncan variety.
