For those close enough to Lakeland, Florida: Florida Southern College is offering two courses that may be of interest, this fall semester.
CIT 305 Citrus Culture I -- covers the botany of citrus, history of the industry, varieties, and nursery practices. (The second half, Culture II, which covers grove management practices is scheduled for the spring semester).
HRT 317 Tropical and Temperate Fruits -- a survey course of the fruits that can be grown in Florida other than citrus, and including lemons and limes (which are, under Florida law, "tropical fruits," rather than "citrus.")
Unfortunately, they are not available as distance-learning courses, and would require actual attendance on campus. But if anyone is interested they could contact me about it.
