I have a Midknight Valencia Orange that is now starting to flower. I have no other orange, do I need a pollinator or is it self pollinating? Rolling Eyes Merry Christmas to all members.

I have a midknight vallencia also for 3 years now. The first 2 years I let it flower and fruit. This year I am cutting all the flowers I want it to grow vegetatively. All 3 years I did not do anything but I got fruit every year.
You'll like the fruit as for taste and size.

Here''s my Midknight in 2005 in the background is a satsuma

I am also nipping bunches of flowers and small fruits in my other citrus as well at this time.
I don''t know if they know that winter is here now.
what i am trying to tell you is that I don't think you need a pollinator.
There are so few citrus that need it.

I appreciate all your information. This is the first year that I have had this tree. It is about 3 feet tall. My Clementine bloomed about a month ago. My Santsuma does not appear to be interested in blooming yet. Laughing

Have you been keeping your satsuma below 68F (preferably below 60F) since November?

It gets below 68 during the evening, but never below 60. I was thinking about setting it outside on the warmer days earlier this month. Not today, I do not feel like shoveling a place in the snow for it! I may trade places with the clementine that is sitting in front of a door to the outside. It gets a blast of cold air everytime the dogs go outside. Stay warm Millet Very Happy

Well,
except some mandarine and mandarine hybrids no extra pollinator or pollination is needed.

So simply: pollinate only if flowers so not come to fruit, but all others factors a benefical for fruit growth.
And in all other cases: Citrus will come through by parthenokarpie....
