Citrus Joe sent me some fruit that was said to be Rough Lemons. I planted the seed to see how they would do. I have two that have germinated & they have tri leaves ??? I thought Rough Lemon had single leaves like most citrus ? Could these be something else like a Citrange ? One of them came up variegated will see if it survives. I'll take a pic in the morning as it is storming like crazy right now. |

I watched the Carolinia and NJ hockey game from Raleigh and they lost the electric power to the lights due the storm and the game had to be delayed. for a short time. - Millet |

Our power just came back on. The next door neighbor had one of his bradford pear trees drop on two of his cars. I'll get some pics in the morning. We had tornado warnings all night & reported tennis ball size hail about 30 miles from us. |

Lazz, Rough lemon does not have trifoliate leaves. The leaves should look much like a other lemons and have a lemon-like odor when crushed. New growth would have the purple color typical of lemon.

Lazz, That is some kind of trifoliate hybrid.
You folks must have had quite a blow. I think the lesson here is never plant a Bradford where a limb can fall on anything. They are notorious for dropping limbs, often with no reason whatsoever.

Thanks Ned thats what I thought.
We have had some crazy storms come through in the last few weeks. The one a few weeks ago kept me out all night as many trees got blown down or uprooted. Commercial power was out everywhere. |
