About two weeks ago I t-budded about 20 Flying dragon that were very small seedlings from last falls seed crop. These are all pencil size or a little larger. At the present time there is not a brown one in the lot. These are all planted in the ground. The one that are in pots did not fare that good. Only about half are still green.

Ive got 1+ yr old FD seedlings but theyre all in pots- I was planning on waiting until the spring to try to graft. Mine are slightly smaller then pencil diameter.

Congrats on all your grafting!

Any thoughts on the difference in sucess rates? pot soil warmer?

Hi Buddingman, Congrats!

I am about to try my first citrus grafts, but was going to wait a little later because I thought that bud grafts did not do well in the heat. If you are in Texas, I guess it was pretty hot there in late July.

Maybe I should go ahead and try it now.
