Papaya are almost always grown from seed. From to seed to fruit can be attained in one years time. However, growing outside in England winters could be a killer. Papaya's do not transplant well, so when transplanting into the soil or into a larger container the transplant must be done very CAREFULLY so not to disturb the roots. - Millet (959-)
