I will be moving from Scottsdale, AZ to Humble, TX. I wonder if my container citrus will survive the trip in the back of a U-Haul?

If you control the temperature from getting too hot inside the van, they should have no problem. Your trees should grow better in TX with the additional humidity.

The move is interesting: Going from Scottsdale (people think of this city as the home of the wealthy elite), and moving to a city called Humble. LOL

Have a nice trip. Millet (1,276-)

I thought Arizona was the 3rd highest yielding citrus state.

Welcome to Texas, well when you do arrive anyways.
I think it is illegal to bring citrus into Texas from other states; At least no nursery well ship to Texas. (one of the few states they don’t) Though I am no expert, so others may chime in here.

That was a good one Millet! But those crazy Texans pronounc it “UmBull”. Nevertheless your point is incredibly poignant.

I will have to say that I am looking forward to the move - I've had my fill of AZ.

I will have to figure a way to keep the inside if the U-HAUL cool...

I believe that moving a citrus from TX to AZ would violate AZ rules for citrus import, as well as the ACP quarantine. The last I read, Texas is under quarantine for the ACP and AZ is not.

(After rereading the original post, I realize that the tree would be moved to Texas. Regardless, I am pretty sure that TX import restrictions prohibit such action.)

Probably easier to dump the trees and save the containers - I don't want to be on the wrong side of the Citrus Police.
