I wasn't sure where else to share this.. I've been working on it most of the day.. I will write an update to my sons return tomorrow and our HAIR raising week end..
This first photo is scanned cover of American Fruit Grower Magazine published October 1928..
I would like to note.. I saw the picture on the cover and was VERY excited at the thought of "citrus industry info".. But there was only a small bit of info.. There was an article about "Monthly Fruit Market Review" It covered mostly apples and pears.. but I got to the end of the article and found this bit of info...
" As a result of the storm in Florida prospects for citrus fruit are not as good as the were a month ago. California reports still indicates that excellent crops of orange and lemons are expected. In Florida the number of trees is steadily increasing but the condition of both oranges and grapefruit is lower than a month ago and below average but still materially above last year."
This made me curious so I googled Florida Sept 1928 and found...

Got to love the ability to find info when you get curious about something..
I love the cover of the mag though.. I'd love to have it copied and framed on my wall..
In another American Fruit Grower Magazine (March 1929) I found this article...
If the article is unreadable I will try and adjust the size tomorrow..
I spent a good deal of the day splicing two scans of the first page of the article.. I wish I had a bigger flat bed scanner.. I would copy every page of these mags for safe keeping..
If I find any other "interesting" articles I'll be sure and share them..
I have a few Mags to go through..
