I have a 5' Sambo lemon tree. In the past few days it's dropped about 3 little fruits off of it....smaller than golf ball, and quite pale green. The others (about a dozen or so) are dark green and about 3/4 softball size. And they are firmly anchored to the tree.

Should I be concerned about the loss of these 3 little fruits? The tree looks healthy otherwise. The leaves nice and glossy and green, the soil medium is excellent with adequate drainage. I use Ferti-Lome, and they seem to have responded to that quite well.

That is normal. Once the tree sets fruit, you will see many start to lighten up. Those will drop. Most of the fruit that remain dark green will make it to maturity, but some may still drop just before ripening up.

I thought it might be normal, but wasn't sure. Three isn't any great loss and there could still very well be more on down the road, but you hate to see any fruit from the tree gone. Nice to get an affirmation. Thanks for taking the time to post. Much appreciated!

This is a pic of one of my Meyer's just before sunset. It's small, but a healthy little thing!
