I'm interested in getting a Thomasvile Citrangequat. And I prefer something grafted onto trifoliate (with mature wood) so I don't have to wait over 5 years (like from a seedling). Does anyone know of a source?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I was told that he only offered seedlings and not grafted plants.

I'll have to email him to see if that has changed.

I believe he offers grafted trees. However Thomasvile citrangequat is a very precious tree, and many times a seedling tree blooms and fruits in the 2nd or 3rd year. - Millet.

It would be a 'precious' tree to me too, if I can get it to survive.

Hope it's precocious as well! LOL!

I got my Thomasville from Stan last year...it was grafted and was trying to fruit despite being fairly small. I pulled off the fruit and it shot into growth, put on size quickly and then fruited again. This spring it covered itself in fruit again. Quite a trooper of a plant.

We can get down to 0 sometimes, but more typically in upper single digits for a low. My citrumelos have had no damage yet and they are about 4 or 5 years in the ground.

I would also like a Thomasville, or a Morton. Would like to try them in Dallas. If there is a source here please tell me. I looked for a while. I'm considering just waiting on a plant from seed but havent sourced them either.

I have some seedlings, been trying to post them but have been busy as hell. I'll try to post them tonight.

mine arent quite ripe come the heavy frost time, I suspect yours would be marginally ripe also. you would want a contingency plan for the cold nights of January.............mine are heavily fortified for the winter
