I have a number of seedlings growing of this variety. Has anyone ever grown this variety out from seed? If it truly is a grapefruit, I'm not interested in waiting 15-20 years to grow it out. If it behaves more like a sour orange than perhaps, growing from seed is viable. Otherwise, I will use the seedlings as rootstock and look for actual budwood.

Woodlanders, calls it Sanbokan Grapefruit
Just Fruits & Exotics calls it Sanbokan Lemon
The Variety Collection calls it Sanbo sour orange hybrid
Some growers claim its parentage has Pummelo in it ???
UCR says that the parentage is unknown, so I guess you can feel free to call it whatever you wish.

Millet, I'm not really concerned about the name. Just whether growing from seed is realistic or not.

I have several seedlings, about 12 years old in pots, one has its first fruit now. Looks to be true to type, so far, it's still green and 1/3 size.
Another member posted on Sanbokan seedlings, a while ago. That tree was in Eastern Europe, fruit looked more squat and orange than the true to type.
As one of the all time standout citrus types, I think I would be looking for budwood to ensure you have a worthwhile fruiting specimen. Perhaps you can bud onto the Sanbokan seedlings and let a sucker grow in the future to see what you might get ?

The budwood for this variety doesn't seem to be available in my state, otherwise seed wouldn't even be a consideration. I appreciate the 12 year time frame though, at least it gives me an idea. I will have to try harder to find a source. I'm going to join the Arizona rare fruit growers group, maybe that will help.
