Hey all

been waiting for over a month for some lemon seeds to sprout, thought they had died, but checked the soil and they had rooted slightly. they had been in the bedroom with the other citrus. i moved them into the conservatory today, which was really really hot during the day....came home from work and one of the lemon seeds has sprouted...as has one of the grapefruit seeds i planted a few days ago.

just shows that its heat that citrus seeds want. they're now in a heated propagator (temp too unstable in conservatory, sometimes hot, sometimes cold) so just waiting for other lemon seeds, other grapefruit, and the mandarins i planted. i wish i could find key lime seeds over here in england!

You can get the key lime from tradewinds fruit , they ship to the uk all kinds of seeds, i spent about 20 dollars including post to the UK for a bag of almost every type of citrus seed everything from flying dragon, ponderosa lemon, key lime, etrog etc

i bought seeds and then saw the reviews of them not growing, but most of mine have grown using the propergator i had no problems

The ones from my own citrus grow much quicker, but the dry seeds from tradewinds did grow with heat, without heat most didnt seem to grow

Sometimes things are hard to find, its not the easiest site to use and they remove the buy it now if they run out

Ive just had a look, the link is there at the top but its not on the list of seeds it goes to, i would send them an email
