sorry I can't post a picture as a don't have a working camera at the moment. I will try to explain the best I can. I have a plant that was in quarantine because of suspected scale. I checked it about 4 days ago and everything was looking good. Checked today and I had bugs everywhere. They looked like white fuzzy scale with massive amount of antennas. With like a white mold underneath the bugs. I put the plant in the shower and drenched it with my insecticide oil. Where the plant was sitting on the stand, there was little crawly bugs everywhere. I have at least a dozen other citrus in other rooms of the house that do no appear to have any bugs, but I am really worried. I looked for pictures of scale but I can only find the scab looking ones which I have dealt with in the past. Does anyone know what I am trying to explain?
TIA |

millet thanks for the site, great info. It looks like I have cottony cushion scale http://www.organicgardeninfo.com/cottonycushion-scale.html I live in Illinois so I am really confused because it looks like this scale is in the southern states and I have had this tree for 3 years. I wonder if the scale came from garden plants that were purchased last spring. I am so glad I am not seeing on the other plants. But I am so worried that I will get a total infestation. I sprayed again today incase I missed some yesterday. |

Laaz I wish I had a camera. It looks exactly like the cottony cushion scale. I took a picture with my phone but can't figure out how to get it to image shack without the use of a computer. I will try tomorrow at work. |

It could be cottony cushion scale, but in your area highly unlikely. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...
