My comment on obtaining larger Page mandarins was only pertaining to larger trees that are capable of producing a large quaintly of fruit. A reason that thinning to one fruit per the three closest leaves, is because a citrus fruit obtains almost it entire energy/nourishment for its development from the three closest leaves to the fruit. Therefore if two or three fruit have set together, then all three fruit share the nourishment from the same 3 leaves, and therefore do not develop maximum possible size. - Millet )639-)
