What a defense! Nice blocking, Laaz & Ryan.
On other part of globe, cold intrusion reaches Kuwait a few days earlier than that. We have a member there.
We have member in Australia too. Very, very hot there these days.

Are you saying for the cold or wind? or both? All my potted trees are in the very very temp greenhouse. They stall plenty warm in there but the wind rips up the plastic sheeting. I think I will visit the hardware store today for some more improvements. My in ground eureka lemon tree is the only one with new growth and flowers right now. I will look for some burlap sacks.

It has been 80F or above here everyday this month so far. The average high is near 77 F this time of year in this area. Looks like cooler weather for 2nd half of January though. We had a low of 44F in December and since then it has been warm almost everyday. Hopefully the temperature stays above freezing this winter.

My neighbor has some coconut palms. I should plant some but probably not this year.

A few braces and a heavy tarp over the whole structure might save it from wind. Heavy blocks, rocks or what not all along the base of the tarp.
