I love Thai food, I love citrus, and I love the idea of a citrus tree with aromatic leaves, but I've never been able to find the leaves or the fruit or the trees anywhere nearby. I'd love to grow a few so I can see what all the fuss is about. If nothing else, they would make a wonderful conversation piece thanks to the controversy over the proper name, which is a remarkable example of the power of language.

Does anyone have any seed they could donate to a curious gardener? Very Happy

You Can buy kaffir lime seeds on Ebay and if you are lucky, you can find them sold in the USA. Many of the seeds are sold from the far east. If you live in Florida, be careful about ordering these kaffir lime seeds from the far east.

I'm just hesitant to buy seeds from overseas knowing how many diseases are out there, how serious they are, and how serious the government takes them. I'd rather not take that risk. I'm looking for fruit in my area, but the search thus far has been... less than fruitful. Laughing

I'll keep looking.

I am here in central florida and have some seeds from the trees I grew here. These seeds are not from the far east.
