Wanted to share a great 2-day citrus clinic I found while looking for a particular citrus cultivar. Here is the link:

https://extension.arizona.edu/events/west-valley-citrus-clinic

Here is the info from the site:

Join the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Maricopa County Master Gardeners in one of two citrus clinics this January that will help you grow the juiciest, most flavorful citrus fruit in your neighborhood. These clinics feature the foremost experts in the state, including University of Arizona faculty and noted local professionals. Now in their seventeen year, these half-day field days provide the opportunity for homeowners to learn and to ask questions about the care of citrus, apples, peaches, dates and other fruit crops.

Tickets are $8 if purchased in advance at the Master Gardener office inside the PORA Building, 13815 W Camino del Sol, Sun City West, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m., Monday through Friday, or at the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Maricopa County, 4341 E Broadway Rd, Phoenix, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets will also be available for sale for $10 the day of the event at Truman Ranch.

Gates open at 8:15 a.m., introductions will start at 8:30 a.m., with the clinics running from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Six half-hour presentations will be given concurrently and repeated four times during the morning. Taste-test many citrus varieties and learn how to select the best for your needs. Coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and light refreshments will be available for a nominal cost. You-pick citrus will also be available for an additional charge, $10 for a 15-pound bag and $20 for a 40-poun bag. Please note all presentations will be held outdoors, rain or shine, so dress accordingly. Wear walking shoes and bring a chair if you would like to sit, and please, no pets.

Topics will include:

Citrus Varieties Demonstration and Tasting
Pruning Citrus and Deciduous Fruit Trees
Low-Chill Deciduous Fruit Varieties
Planting and Budding

Awesome, turtleman. We have also had a ton of rain. So far, over the last 3 days, it's been about 2 inches. A slow, steady gentle rain. Perfect for the plants. Everything is very happy here, birds chirping things greening up. Glad to hear you had a good turnout!

Hah! So true, Fred. Relatively speaking of course! Not complaining, believe me. We had 4 days of a steady, slow, soaking rains. Could not be better for us here, as it all soaked in, and very little runoff.
