Eating them would be evermore gross than eating snails. Thank goodness Colorado does not have them. Colorado's cold winters kills off a geat deal of bugs that inhabit other reagons of the country. - Millet |

They are pretty loud. It took me a few days to get used to their noise. Like living next to an airport. _________________ Okay, I don't need any more trees. Look! Another tree for sale!!! |

I like how they sound. Unfortunately I don't see them (crickets yes) around here, only at the coast... _________________

This is my 3rd time with these guys. They are harmless and a great many of them end up devoured by birds.
At their peak, the sound is unearthly. Like something out of one of those 1950s Atomic sci-fi/horror movies
In reality, it is less intense than before. As development takes its toll, around here at least, there are less plots of woods and other sources of forage for them.
Enjoy I say. |

When I was in Japan in the late 80s, it was cicada season and while they were loud and everywhere, I kind of enjoyed the experience as something different. I'm sure if BC became infested with them, I would rethink my opinion. _________________ Learning is a life-long process. Stop learning at your own peril. |
