While in Miami a while back, I stopped and pick up some seeds that had fallen from a Christmas Palm growing in a residential yard. Upon returning back to Colorado I planted them and soon had a young tree. For a year the palm has just sat there and has failed to grow. So a couple days ago I decided to add it to the compost pile. However, I noticed a couple new spikes growing, so the tree has received a last minute reprieve. I have found out that this variety requires a lot of water, and a well aerated soil. Therefore, I planted it in a CHC medium and will keep the medium constantly moist and see how it responds. - Millet
