Dear citroholics,

as I am on the hunting for the Australian Blood lime I want to ask australian members, whether one of them can supply to me some seeds of this nice ornamental Citrus.

On the webpage of the ditributor for this variety - dusty road - a link leads to the related nurserys in the different states where plants can be purchased.

This is the link :

http://www.dustyroad.com.au/lime_stockists.htm

If somebody ist prepared to help me pls. send a short message to my e-mail address andreas.voss@zitrusgarten.net

Many thanks in advance

I have been after seed for these for years. Let me know if you locate any. I have a red finger lime and am going to try to do a cross this spring & see what happens.

Wow! I have never seen such a lime - it looks very impressive. I have a contact heading "Down Under" I will see if he can get some budwood.

Hi Greg,

pls do not tempt your "contact" to do something illegal. Budwood is prohibit, however as I belive that seeds of this variety are not cygotic, seeds would be sufficient and much easier to handle.

At the webpages from Mike Saalfeld

http://www.homecitrusgrowers.co.uk/

your can learn quite a lot of this citrus and a disription of the new breeds you can find here:

http://www.pir.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0011/37856/Australian_Nativce_Citrus.pdf

Pls. let me know if you succeed...

brgds

Andy, no problem...everything is done above board. Citrus Seeds and fruit are not a problem to bring into Canada - cuttings and plants need Phytosanitary Certificates. I will let you know if it works out.

I too have been in search for this AU Red Lime for some time as this is my area of particular fascination (limes).

If you are successful please let me know and I will be glad to pitch in. This has been a long target of mine.

Cheers!
