Just thought I'd drop in and let everyone know I will be moving to Yuba City Cali in Late April. Just wondering who all my new neighbors will be??
Going to be looking forward to weather that my health might better agree with. Get my health back to where it needs to be...
Will be moving in with my daughter she said I can have as many trees on the patio as I want!!! Very Happy She just wants room for one chair.
Going to have to learn where the best places to get trees are since I can't bring any of my babies with me.. Sad I hope they will survive with out me.. So when/if I come back I'll still have trees here and maybe a few new ones to add...
Sorry I've been more off than on here. After the move I hope to have more time to indulge my hobby...... and hopefuly no more computer crashes!!!

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, I hope the move helps. You should have really great options for buying trees.

I hope they make it too.

BUT

the most important thing is for you to get healthy so you can return to your babies! Smile

Get well soon!

In case you haven't thought about it already, you may want to look up Gene Lester & arrange a tour of his place. He's down in Watsonville near Santa Cruz.

Gina,

Glad you made the move and hope your health will quickly improve. It won't be long and the neighborhood will be looking you up for tips, tricks and knowledge on growing citrus and other things.

Hope you'll find some great neighbors soon.

Well my stay here is almost over. My daughter now knows how to drive and she will be looking for a car this week. She is giving her sister the van that we brought here so we can get back. My younger daughter was unable to find work so she will go back with me. But Oldest daughter is fully moved off base and is doing pretty well now.. I enjoyed the pool and am darker than I have been in years!! and droped several pounds.. but I HATE California Health care!! Drs say oh we don't do pain management but won't direct ya to someone who does.. I've asked neighbors and even combed the phone book.. Not taking new paitents or don't do pain management.. will be back to MY Dr and schedule a new round os shots in my back.. Can't wait!!!
thanks to the pool I managed to drop several pounds!!! and overall I think my health is better.. Need an inground heated pool house *can have place to grow citrus in winter* and a place to get exercise and not have the body weight on already pained joints...
Will be back to DSL in Kansas.. but will have more time on my hands as I will be living out with my parents.. for now... so I can't say if I will increase my online time or not.. but I will be back near my plants.. and have heard they are doing poorly since they were moved back in the house.. but I think that it was waited till the last second to move them in and I know that they are not getting care they should.. hope they hang in there till I can get there and get things taken care of..
Do ya think I could get away with liberating a neighbors tree?? poor thing looks half dead.. Sad I've tried to offer suggestions but.. guess since I'm from Kansas my opinion doesn't count... nice 4ft grapefruit.. HAD fruit.. now just sad.. looks like neglect.. very dried out... but no discoloratin of leaves to indicate over watering or desease..
was actually mid 30s here yesterday!! no fall... well.. not really... stuff still mostly green do have a few that have little red or purple... but not fall looking.. still too much green..
anyway.. just thought I'd give an update on what's going on with me..
I think the highlights of being here.. going to a CRFGA meeting!!! Meeting Joe and getting to see him a few times!! and all the wonderful trees and plants I have gotten to see.. I have a rooted cutting from a Nagami Kumquat from the Bok Kai temple!!! I'm proud of it!!! and of course.. the RUSH I get watching U2s take off!!! I could do that all day!! Love taking my baby girl to work!!! <3

Made it back day before Thanks Giving. I missed my uncle John's Funeral by 4 hrs. but there was still family that showed up that I got to see.. though I stopped directly at my aunts house from the LONG road trip (we took South route and left the saturday before) and was glad to see relatives from out of state that I would not have seen otherwise.. and truly I think I would have been more heart broke if I had made it and seen my beloved uncle looking as poorly as he did.. I can't imagine him as anything but strong vibant and healthy.. He was Chief of local PD and ran his own Plumbing company after he retired from the force. I don't know what it was called that he had but his mind was effected.. and my mom said he didn't respond to anyone there at the end..
I spent Thanks Giving with my kids and then we came back here to my parents. Also for Christmas..
Mortality rate among my plants was not near as bad as I had thought it would be.. Though I lost my Bok Kai seedling and rooted cutting..
I got my dad started on growing Pomegranets in pots!!! So I have a little garden to take care of here.. Kasandra is taking care of the plants back in Neodesha and they have improved since she took over care.. lost 5 citrus and 4 noncitrus.. before we got here.. I was able to cut back dead growth and see some life to some that looked bad but have sprung back now that they are being cared for.. I think they were ok outside as they were getting plenty of sun and were watered regularly but every thing was brought in a bit late and had shock..
it is very dry here!! the ponds here at the farm are waaay low. and there are lots of dead trees every where.. if the drought continues gonna be fire risk this summer... what precipitation we have gotten (since i've been back) has been minimal.. just enough to make the dirt road I live on now a bit sloppy but not enough to realy add anything to the ponds.. Hope the rain we get tomorrow will be good!!! after I go into town to get my shots!!!
Hope all is well with everyone!!!
Hope everyone had a Merry CHRISTmas and a Happy New Year!!!
