A friend in the Citrus business( Briteleaf Nursery) ask our Forum if we would please help in their attempt to get a private Facebook page by going to Facebook and simply clicking on the "LIKE" button. Out of the 2,498 members of this forum only 6 bothered to take any time to offer their help. On the past question of helping out UCR's Variety collection just three members responded to offer some assistance.
Anyway, thanks to the six members that took a little time out of their day to help Anna, I'm sure she appreciated your help.- Millet |

I don't have a Facebook account Millet, otherwise I would do it. How short are they of their goal? I suppose I could create one, I don't have one by choice as Facebook is something I actively avoid.
Edit:
I also checked and it looks like they met their goal, I think you need only 25. |

Mark, if you don't have a Facebook account, I would not bother to open one. Myself, I opened one about a year ago to answer Benny's question. When I "LIKED" Anna, it was only the second time I ever used it. I agree with your concept of Facebook. Actually Facebook is a kids thing. - Millet |

The only reason I opened the FB account was for Anna. Can you direct me to the UCR request. If I can help I will. Do they take Paypal or it just a "like" thing? _________________ Charles in Pensacola

Facebook can be useful actually, you're not obliged to act like a kid on it. You don't have to write about any minute in your life. You don't have to have hundreds of FB friends. I only have about 20, half of which are family members. You can use it to subscribe to groups that write about things you're interested in, like citrus.
You can also write about your citrus hobby (but take into account that none of your friends care about growing citrus, unless they are into citrus themselves ) _________________ - Marc
