I finally got some citrus bark grafts to take. I had 5 out of 6 survive here in my yard, 2 of 3 at my sister Vicki's and I have 2 more that I did last week at my sister Beth's. I think my biggest problem may have been trying to put Nules on satsuma.

All of these have been toothpick size budwood put on pencil size stock. Two of the 6 in my yard have already started growing, 2 are calamondin budwood pieces from the broken limb I tried to repair that has since died- glad I was able to save the cultivar with a bark graft since the wood was way to small to bud.

Nice work! Those are great percentages! You should have apparently been a surgeon with budwood that small.

All of my success is due to the tutorial that Joe did and a little extra input from Joe and Benny. It is really not that hard-- initially I thought I had to make one smooth diagonal cut, but I have found that you can just whittle the diagonal cut until you have a long thin cut that is relatively smooth, trim the edges and insert it in a prepared slit.
