My one year old Marisol Clementine that is planted in ground, has just started it 5th growth flush this year. The first flush was 1-17-06 followed by flushes on 3-22-06, 6-10-06, 8-9-06, and the fifth flush on 10-21-06. I was talking to Eyeckr at the Citrus Expo, telling him that I hoped the fifth flush would make it this year, and upon returning home I noticed that the tree started the new flush while I was gone. I keep the soil heated to 80F all year around, and light the foliage with a 1000 watt HID light from sunset to 10:00 PM every night. I also have removed ever bloom the tree has every produced. I will keep up this regiment through out 2007, then let the tree fruit. I planted the tree last year on December 18, 2005, and will put a picture on this forum on December 18, 2006, to show the growth achieved in one years time. Really gratified to achieve my goal of five growth flushes in one year. Maybe next year I will water the tree with Holy Water. - Millet

Wow!
Congrats.
Maybe you should plant a Fuyo persimmon? Or Clemenule?

Hi Barrie, No reason at all for the planting date of December 18th, I just happened to have a new tree at that time. - Millet
