Does anyone know what this weird mould type stuff is growing under my lemon???? Should i kill/dispose of it.
It seems to have popped up after i sprinkled some neem tree granules last week.

They look like fungal fruiting bodies. Probably harmless, but likely to produce spores which may be either sticky or dusty and therefore messy. Because they are concentrated about the trunk of your tree, I would get rid of the surface growth before the spores are produced, just in case they adhere to the trunk and cant be removed, or 'germinate' there which may cause problems.

Even if no direct harm is made by that stuff , it will be a competition for the food , as my father say , don't let anything under the canopy of any tree , because will fight for the food.

And it is not only that , maybe someone had any experience with that thing. Also agree with pagnr about spores , once they are produced it will spread on your backyard

I had something similar in my container citrus plants this spring. It was from my kitten pooping in the citrus pots!
