Has anyone got any experience with African Shaddock? I was ordering some rootstock from Citrus Tree Source, and they did not have any Flying Dragon ready, yet, and they don't have any Cuban Shaddock (what Four Winds likes to use for their dwarf citrus), but they stated they did have some African Shaddock. They are growing it because they were having some issues with Moro Blood orange scion/rootstock incompatibilities. The gal I spoke with said there were seeing a "yellow ring" forming at the graft union or close to it, that was causing a girdling effect. So, it was suggested to them to try African Shaddock. Now, not sure if this is straight African Shaddock, or African Shaddock x trifoliate (my suspicion), guess I'll see when it arrives. It looks to me like African Shaddock or the cross is NOT dwarfing, based on some Lincove rootstock trials documentation and other documentation I've found online and have at home. No mention in the "California Citrus Rootstooks" book by Ferguson, from UC California. And, not really any mention in Bitters' Rootstock document, either. Any information would be helpful.
