My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Stan and his son Shawn, and Ned today in Columbia. Stan brought me a Sanbokan Lemon, which I was very proud to get. Thank you Stan!! We had a nice chat over lunch before they left out to visit a local nursery.

I hope to meet Scott K and morphinelover in the near future.

In my experience, the idiom, "The friendliest folks are plant folks" proves once again to be true.

I am looking forward to the Citrus Expo late this year, and hope to attend to meet many of you there.

It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband also! WOW! What a cold day! I keep telling people, I dont know how much more of this Global Warming my citrus trees can stand! After we left the farmers market, we went by to look at a citrus collection owned by a friend of ours and I was surprised at the condition most of them were in.. I saw an ambersweet orange that had very little leaf curl.. ate some blood oranges and got a fresh bearrs lemon right from the tree! THe lemon and blood orange were wrapped with heavy frost blankets but the ambersweet was right out in the open.. Pretty amazing stuff!
Take care of your sanbokan, you will enjoy "eating" fresh lemonade for years to come!

Your right, Stan is a cool dude. I haven't got to meet him yet but from talking to him on the computer and reading posts by his customers he struck me as being a stand up guy. I read reviews on him I think from davesgarden.com and here too and have yet to find one person that has had a bad dealing with him. You don't see people like him everyday in this day in age. I plan on being a loyal long time customer because frankly there isn't anyone that sells great priced and great quality citrus as he does.
