I hope I live long enough to receive my future offerings order of a Femminello Santa Teresa lemon tree. The wait is now going on 3 YEARS. Their future offerings must be in my grand children's distant future. - Millet (586-)

i am surprised that they have not sent you one just to shut you up. one generally hears good things about four winds but we all have been following your long wait.

if four winds does not frequent this forum maybe you should send them a link so they know we are all counting years it is taking to fill an order.

You will never guess what!!!! THE DAY HAS ARRIVED. The Santa Teresa went on sale. All of the credit goes to Shellee, our forum member. She talked to Kerry, causing Kerry to look around, and Kerry found 32 trees stuck away in a corner of their warehouse. Four Winds told Shellee that they were very embarrassed. I also ordered a NOVA Mandarin (another new variety at Four Winds.). It is said "Good things come to those who wait." I did send Kerry a nice, but sarcastic E-mail about their customer service on the Santa Teresa. My E-mail was more nice than sarcastic. Millet (517-)

Millet, I have never prayed for someone to get a tree but I have to admit I have prayed for this tree for you.. I recall you mention wanting one for years. I was fascinated by the story you told about the original tree.. I am very pleased that you finally have one!! Good health to your new baby!!!

It has cooled down enough that the AC is kinda keeping up and my plants aren't as sad looking. My cactus were even starting to look sad.. we got a few days of rain but are still in a drought condition, with lots of brown trees. Sad Hope the predicted rain will be good.

The Santa Teresa Lemon, and the Nova Mandarin (Cross betweem a Clementine mandarin and Orlando tangelo) arrived today from Four Winds Growers via UPS 2nd day air. As usual for Four Winds Growers, both trees were excellent looking. I planted the Saint Teresa Lemon directly in the ground, and put the Nova Mandarin in a 7 gallon Air Root Pruning Container. Plus today was an extra special day, as some budwood also arrived for Ugli, Valentine Pummelo, C -22, and
Kiyomi tangor (a cross of orange and satsuma mandarin). The budwood was given to me from a very thoughtful forum member. - Millet (510-)

I just saw this "updated" thread... thank you, Millet, for giving me credit here, but, I have to say, the credit can be shared! I had been 'gently' inquiring for some time to Kerry about the Santa Teresa prior to even joining the forum. It was through the death of my 15 year old Eureka, and wanting to find a new lemon, that sparked this crazy citrus "bug" for me... In my last interrogation of poor Kerry I empathized with her on how awful it must be for the customer service person (herself) to have to deal with disappointed S.T. owner hopefuls over the years...siting a "friend" of mine that had been waiting for years, on the top of the wait list... I then, again ever so gently, asked what the hold up was (we were actually speaking live on the phone where any attempts previously in getting this answer were conveniently ignored in emails)...just so I could tell my "friend" to ease his mind. She actually said she didn't know, that they had never given her quantifiable reason to tell customers. Hmmmm....very odd, I thought to myself and continued killing her with kindness, empathizing how tough it must be for her. Miraculously, about 3 days later, my "friend" and I received emails about the "32 tree discovery". Just as my mystery friend said, mine too arrived in pristine condition. It already has new growth and seems very happy to now be a So Cal resident. It may be their waiting list lost about 85% of its members as the tree is still listed as available on their online order form.

Also, they do have some Flying Dragon trees available as well, you just need to call the number on the website...and talk to Kerry. Smile
