Ahah! All the queen palms planted in the last 20 years around here have fried fronds from our recent deep freeze to 19F We shall see if the trees survived!
Some didn't believe me when I suggested they would eventually freeze. Only large palms to survive long term here are jelly palms and half of those froze in Christmas of 1989. As a matter of fact, I'm seeing lots of non-jelly palms with frozen fronds around town(Beaumont, TX). All the sagos I've seen have lots of brown fronds.
