Marc, the picture that Google Earth shows of the Parent Washington Navel(PWN) tree is deceiving. Citrus Joe and myself have been to the PWN tree. Google's picture makes the site look like a quite residential area, it is not. The area is a VERY BUSY commercial/residential location with hundreds of thousand of cars rushing by within feet of the tree every day. There are also a couple other citrus varieties enclosed inside the fence other than the PWN. - Millet (466-)

I've made a walk around the place (virtually ) and noticed that it looks like a very busy place indeed! I expected the tree to be in a quiet place like a park instead...
Sooooo.... any other places with citrus that can be virtually visited?

You should be able to find the California Citrus State Park on Google earth. It is also in Riverside, CA. on the opposite side of town at the other side of the University of California. Further just across the street for the University, is the Citrus Variety Collection, and the Citrus Clonal Protection Program (CCPP). The Washington Parent tree, and all of these other sites are located in Riverside. With Google Earth, just search around the town. - Millet (466-)
