Well, then just build a permanent one.
Only that will provide real fun. |

If your in a area that gets heavy wind gust, I would avoid those Harbor Freight green houses. Read the reviews. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Thanks guys. It is definately a high wind area here. I took a closer look at the damage and I was able to patch it up using more sheeting and duct tape.
I will be working on a more sturdy design that I can take apart in the spring. I think part of my problem is that it was too high and the fence wasnt breaking the wind. And it is square. I will either have it pitched or domed in my next project. _________________ Okay, I don't need any more trees. Look! Another tree for sale!!! |

I was considering a Harbor Freight greenhouse and a friend has one and loves it but I did read the scary reviews. I did find a link where someone had done additional bracing with conduit and they seemed very happy with the additional bracing. My friend bought his cheap with a coupon and some super sale , his only comments were there were a million screws and it wouldn't take near as long the second time if he built another. He bolted his greenhouse to a deck that he built. He has never needed the conduit for additional strength but some people in windy locations would probably find it very helpful to add conduit. Tom _________________ Tom in central Alabama |

I will be building a deck for it next.
Then I will enclose it with plywood and bug screen and make some sort of removeable panels to easily convert it to a greenhouse. Hopefully. _________________ Okay, I don't need any more trees. Look! Another tree for sale!!! |

I give you an advice:
Buy the swimming pool.
Some kind of overground type, because they are much cheaper than types in soil, than use it like those which are for use in soil - way how to do it, is on picture at the bottom of this page:

and than buy some cheap removable pool cover like those:

Your wife will have pool for summer and You greenhouse for winter.
Plants will be 1m under soil level, so no need for warming system during mild winters.
BTW: it looks like small cherimoya in the middle of your citrus seedlings. |

That would be great. My wife would actually go for that idea. But that would not happen any time soon since we are getting married again at the end of this year.
It is a cherimoya seedling in the middle. My wife kept bugging me to grow one for her mom. I told her no guarantees if it fruits cuz I dont know. _________________ Okay, I don't need any more trees. Look! Another tree for sale!!! |
