I have a sunquat that I planted in the ground that's not doing much. What I'm wanting to know is,is this a plant that will do good in the ground and I don't anything about this type citrus. It was an impulse buy. So it bought it. The lemons aren't that tasty either. I've been thinking about digging it up and planting something else in it's place.

I don't know much about sunquat, but are you sure you want to start over-- you could graft several varieties onto the tree.

Since you are in TX, budinman could help you find budwood.

Sunquats taste best around March which is a chance for the Houston area as freezes might get the fruit. I am in Beaumont. I have one in a pot as I don't have a taste for more than a dozen of them. I worked my inground sunquat to changshou kumquat and fairchild mandarin.
