Lemon or citron. With the rounded tips on the leaves, I would go more with some type of citron.
Lemons should have a pointed leaf tip. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Based on the bloom color, I don't think it is a lemon or citron. Lemons have a pink tint to them, and I believe Citrons do too, don't they Lazz?
Sometimes crushing a leaf and smelling it can provide a clue. The leaves often smell like the fruit. The developing fruit will help in identification too. |

Yes Ned, most do have red /purple blooms although some citrons do have white blooms. Could also be a Ponderosa lemon. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Have citrus in a container, and the names go washed away from the plant labels (were laminated), so unable to identify them.
The plants are about a year old, and appear to be mature enough to be grafted...tried using the Citrus Id site...but I can't seem to identify them still.
Successfully managed to identify Ugli and Sanbokan, but not sure about these ones...all are local grocery-bought fruit...Tangerines (Fallglo, Sunburst, et al.), Tangelo (Orlando), or can be a lemon (not sure if Lisbon or Eureka). Otherwise, I'll just have to sell them...

What do you mean by "the Petiole is not really prominent."?
There is none or they are small?
If there is none it could be a Citron (Cedra). If they are small we need a picture. |

@Laaz, the top one when crushed emits a lemon-like scent.
@Sylvain, salut. The petiole is basically non-existent for both leaf sets. |

Well, you don't help me very much.
If there is NO petiole (we say that the leave is not articulated) it is a characteristic of young leaves of CItrons.
If the petiole is very short it can be several things like lemons. |

Joan, where did you get the citrus from? Is this a cutting, a seedling, purchased online?? The most likely answer would be a Meyer lemon if it was bought from an online source. Yes, the flower buds are usually purplish, but not always. If this was grown from seed or from a rooted cutting and from a friend, then it could be one of many different things. Can you give us more info about its origins? _________________ Patty S.
