What do a tangelo tree, indelible marker, and a two year old have in common?
Well after finding the cap to the indelible marker, in the middle of the yard, I knew I was in trouble. I wandered around the yard looking for obvious signs of vandalism. Patio furniture was okay, slight damage to a plastic potting container, but that seemed to be the extent of things. A couple of days later, I noticed what I initially thought was some new strange disease on my Mineola Tangelo tree. The fruit wasn't splitting, but had some black fungus growing on it. Just about every fruit had the symptom: Black streaks on the rind of each tangelo. Then it dawned on me. . .
