I bartered out some computer work for an Eversweet pomegranate today.

Does anyone know how long it takes to set fruit?

It is a baby shrub and has one broken branch; I want to train it into a tree.

I will post pictures later today.

It could flower anytime, but don't let it bear fruits for three years until you have about 5 ft tall plant. Remove the small fruits if they set.

Eversweet is one the "bland" tasting pomegranates compared to others, that is the opinion of many of the pomegranate afficionados I've talked with. But for me, the taste is good enough and will gladly gobble up a fruit of that cultivar especially if it is free, Smile

Joe, has several post on this forum that evaluates the taste of many pomegranates varieties. The grading and variety list was derived from the Wolfskill pomegranate tasting weekend. - Millet (1,399-)

I went ahead and cut the leftmost side of broken branch and I am attempting to root in willow tea.
