Does anyone know approx. how many months it takes for a mango fruit to fully developed - the time it takes from flower spike to when the fruit gets picked and/or from pebble-sized fruit to when it gets picked?

My first time growing mango (Keitt). Sisters don't believe mango can be grown in Northern Cali. One sister offer to buy the first mango coming from my tree for $500. Very Happy I think she's joking of course, but still, I like to prove her wrong.

My containerized mango is putting out many flower spikes right now. Is it a little late for the mango tree to be doing that? I'm concerned about the time table. If my tree does give me one or two baby mangoes, will it have enough time in the season to reach maturity. My young mango tree suffered during the past winter, losing most of its leaves or have leaf damage.

In south Florida (likely more heat units than you get, unless you're inland), they flower in January, and we harvest Keitt starting in late July, well into August.
